The Colorado Buffaloes have received a huge verbal commitment from former Tennessee verbal Kenneth Crawley. Crawley is an elite cornerback prospect that should come in and compete for a spot in his first year. His offer list is leaps and bounds ahead of any other prospect that the Buffaloes have on board so far this season. Crawley joins teammates De'Jon Wilson, John Walker and current Buff Sherrard Harrington in Boulder. It's safe to say Colorado has a bit of a pipeline going at the Washington D.C. school. Crawley is currently the only 4-star that the Buffs have committed (quarterback Shane Dillon was a 4-star at the time of his commitment). Way to go Greg Brown, keep em coming.
Welcome aboard Kenneth!

So true.
I don’t know if we want Yuri still, if he’s going to create problems for us or if we’ll be able to get him now that a few schools dropped out of the recruiting race.
clutch2999 - January 23, 2012
I expect we still want him
brettden - January 23, 2012
agree some what
CU took some chances in the mid to late 80s, and it worked out very well. Still have some reservations on Yuri though.

I think it depends on Coach Embree
How tight a ship is he going to run. A lot of those young players need some discipline to really excel, and sometimes the off the field problems go away in college.
clutch2999 - January 23, 2012
I hope we get him
Because one would think with this kind of wake up call, he may straighten up, and be better than he would have been without the slap in the face.

Awesome
Great way to start the final run up to signing day!

Oh, and hat tip to Greg Brown
Looks like he was the primary recruiter according to Rivals
highlandsbuff - January 23, 2012
Nice get indeed
I wonder what does this mean in the Yuri Wright sweeostakes, are we still in it or does Embree and Company focus on other guys now?
Broncoman - January 23, 2012
Easy on Wright
Like it or not that is the type of society he grew up in. Don’t give up on some one with red flags, Paul Richardson had a couple. He isn’t charged with a crime or broken any laws.

I am torn about Wright
On one hand his comments are not that shocking considering his background and his “Jew” comments that I read, while ignorant and not appropriate, I would be hard pressed to describe them as racist. On the other hand his lack of judgement and remorse concern me; he recently opened a new Twitter account. Its been a while since I was 18 however I would have kept my head down after the expulsion and not continue to do what got me in that situation to begin with. At this point I would say continue to offer the kid, have Embree and CO challenge him to use better judgement and hope that this is just a mistake made by an 18 year old kid and not a pattern of behavior.

I agree
Like I said above, I don’t think you need to dismiss the talent just because there are off-the-field issues, so long as Coach Embree is willing to run a tight ship. I think there are a lot of time when giving a kid some discipline is all he needs to get on the right track
clutch2999 - January 23, 2012
Maybe the parent needs to get involved
Not trying to sound militant, but if those were my son’s tweets, I think I might take the bird away for a while . . . just sayin’
brettden - January 23, 2012
True
Maybe having a guy like Embree believe in him and set the standards will motivate him, but with Michigan pulling their offer (which was supposedly his dream school), I hope he doesn’t become angry over his actions and carry those forward, as the I am above this attitude that so many high profile recruits have. I defeinatelt don’t want him to come here if he sees this as some place he has to “settle” for, my hope is that he sees an outstanding oppurtunity to prove everyone wrong about his character and help reestablish a great program.

Crawley, we're going to make CU legendary again!!!
