The University of Colorado has just announced that the 2012 Rocky Mountain Showdown has been moved to Sunday, September 2. The game will once again take at Sports Authority Field. Jon Embree will be looking for his second win in the series after beating the Rams 28-14 in 2011. The Buffaloes have won two straight in the series after falling to CSU 23-17 in 2009.

I, personally, like the move. It means a likely national television audience without a lot of competition from other college games or the NFL. Heck, it even means one more day of practice for the Buffs new starting quarterback. What does everyone else think?

As long as the move the game to a late afternoon start
Having the game start at 12:00 was terrible, if they push the game to a 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm start I think you will get alot better crowd and more energy in the stadium.

I think if CSU can’t bring more that 10k fans we need to cancel the series. Last years game had a horrible atmosphere with 3/4 of the east stands empty.
